    Long-Awaited

    July 9, 2009

We’re incredibly excited about this week’s board game releases, two of which are expansions for a couple of tremendous favorites at Gamescape. How fitting that they both come out on the same day, and how obvious it is what we’re going to be doing for the rest of the weekend! We’ve got limited quantities of both expansions coming in tomorrow with a bunch already on hold, so make sure you get in touch with us ASAP to if you’d like either or both.

The Dominion: Intrigue expansion adds rules for playing with up to eight players at two tables or for playing a single game with up to six players. It also features 25 new Kingdom cards and two new sets of Treasure and Victory cards. It’s a stand-alone for experienced Dominion players, who won’t need the original rules to take it and run, and a great expansion regardless if you’ve memorized the rules or not! The new Race for the Galaxy expansion increases player interaction by adding takeover rules that allow players to conquer military worlds in other players’ tableaus. This expansion also includes a bunch of new cards, as well as special cards submitted by fans. It also adds solo play to the original, and can extend the game for six players if Race for the Galaxy: The Gathering Storm expansion is also used.
