    GRPA – Monday, October 26th 6-11pm

Game #1 – Super Zombie Vampire Apocalypse
    Truth & Justice (PDQ)

    5 Players
    GM – Dale Horstman

In 2021, the world had been gripped in the throes of wide-scale war for years. The United States, as a self-appointed worldwide police force, has been barely holding it all together, especially after the Atlanta incident. One bright light flickered on the horizon – the Magnificent 5: a top-secret U.S. program managed to create five honest-to-goodness Super Heroes – real comic book stuff. They jump into the fray with their energy blasts and super TK shields and after six months, the world settles down a bit. Then the Magnificent 5 mysteriously die. The official word is that the process used to create them was unstable. Unofficially, it was unstable enough to create a mutated air-born virus with a 75% mortality rate. Those who survive being infected are shockingly changed. By 2023, the fallout of this worldwide plague has left humanity on the brink of extinction. Only a mere 100,000 humans remain uninfected. Of those billions infected, most were turned into zombie-like creatures, constantly feeding on flesh for protein and sustenance. Others became dark, vampiric creatures who are the zombies’ masters, always shrouded in shadow. A very few, however, became the saviors of humanity, called the Supers. These individuals are endowed with awesome powers but little time. No infected Super has lasted more than two years before self-destructing. Today, one of the last humans is close to a cure and a plan – can the only heroes left in the world help her realize it before their time is up?

Game #2 – Midnight in the Garden of Ice and Snow
    GURPS Midnight
    4 Players
    GM – Doug Hagler

What is known: A caravan, guarded by Orcs and led by a Soldier Legate, has left Steel Hill heading for the Veradeen front west of Nalford. A Snow Elf Orc-hunter only learned of its importance recently, and has recruited three heroes of the resistance who were nearby. What is necessary: the caravan must be delayed by any means necessary. It is too well-guarded for direct assault, but it will reach an outpost before more Snow Elf hunters can come east across enemy lines and attack it. The Snow Elf hunter and the heroes he has recruited need to find the best place to ambush the caravan, and to slow it down enough that the Snow Elves can arrive in time. The good news: it is winter, and travel is difficult for a heavy-laden caravan and the grumpy Orcs and Goblins who have drawn winter duties. The bad news: the Soldier Legate is the one named Cesain, and he’s even known among other servants of the Shadow as a hard-hearted bastard.

This is a game in the northlands of the Midnight setting using GURPS 4th Edition rules. A basic knowledge of GURPS will be helpful. Characters are provided.

Game #3 – Crypt of the Everflame (Pt. 1)
    5 Players
    GM – Nick Lundback

The young heroes of the town of Kassen are ready for their coming-of-age ceremony, an old tradition in which they retrieve a piece of the eternal flame burning in the tomb of the town’s founder. Yet when they arrive there, they find only the corpses of their fellow townsfolk, dead bandits, and mysterious animated skeletons. The novice heroes must brave the traps and perils of the Crypt of the Everflame, discover the source of the corruption that has awakened an ancient evil, and defeat a menace that seeks vengeance against Kassen and its people.
