Sharp-eyed recent visitors to our website might have seen that new banner on the right sidebar for Extra-Life.org. We wanted to take a moment to make sure you were aware about our upcoming game day and funding drive for some of the Bay Area’s really sick children, and what we’re doing to throw our hat in the ring.
We’re really excited to contribute to the Extra Life program this year, whose mission it is to help save kids by playing games. We’re calling this a FUNraiser.
Our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents, just to name just a few. We think that no adult should have to get ill like this, let alone a child.
On Saturday, October 20th, we’re hosting an epic 24-hour gaming marathon at and around the store, and it’s our sincere hope that you’ll consider taking part by contributing to the fun, joining our fundraising team, and possibly donating a few bucks toward a one-time gift that will go directly to our local hospital.
Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.
We’re not just going to host and help promote this event; we’ll be matching all donations in our team’s name up to $300.
If you’re interested and at all able to contribute in any way – even by just coming down and playing – you can read on about how the program works.
