    X-Wing 2014 Store Championship

    March 8, 2014

Now’s your chance to participate in Fantasy Flight’s elite tier of Organized Play for their Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game! Gamescape North is proudly hosting a 2014 Store Championship tournament on Saturday, March 22nd 12-5pm. FFG’s Store Championships are specially-selected tournaments with larger formats and better prize support than their regular Game Night tournament and events, held at FLGSs all over the world – just like us.

More details about the event can be found on the Store Championships page on FFG’s website. In the meantime, read up on the updated tournament rules, which can be downloaded here. Each player will need to bring a 100-point squad and two copies of its corresponding squad list (one for the GM and one for your opponents) to the event. Entry will be $10 per player, and we’ve got a juicy kit full of prizes to hand out to the best players of the event. These include an official X-Wing Store Championship plaque, card boxes with cool Star Wars artwork, special acrylic range rulers, and a stack of alternate-art pilot cards! Note that the overall winner also gets a certificate for a first-round bye at the 2014 X-Wing Regional Championship later this summer!

All prospective participants should get in touch with us ASAP to reserve a place in the tournament roster. If you haven’t yet checked out one of the best strategy miniatures games in the store, this is a perfect chance to do so.

X-Wing is a tactical ship-to-ship combat game in which players take control of powerful rebel X-wings and nimble Imperial TIE Fighters, facing them against each other in fast-paced space combat. Featuring stunningly detailed and painted miniatures, X-Wing recreates Star Wars’ exciting space battles. Select your crew, plan your maneuvers, and complete your mission!

We suggest a new strategy: let the Wookiee win.
