This month’s Gamescape’s Role-Players Anonymous is coming up on Monday, September 26th, and we’ll be adding two special one-shot games to our regular stable of open and curated D&D and Pathfinder tables. Both are run by supremely talented GMs and we think you should consider giving either of them a try. It’s role-playing without the commitment!
If you’d like to join in, please either call or write us back with your name and the game you’d like to join. All GRPA games are free and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and you’ll be responded to immediately with your status in the game.
GRPA – Monday, September 26th 6-11pm
The 5th King’s Tomb
World of Dungeons
GM – Dale Horstman
Outfitted with a mysterious map and the supplies you were able to finagle from Triban Zeal for 10% of the expedition’s profits, you reach the doors of what you hope is the 5th King’s tomb. This tomb, one of seven, was supposedly lost to the ages. A rival named Baynor and his band of stout dwarven kin were rumored to have found it three years ago. No one has seen nor heard anything of them since. You push aside the massive stone doors with difficulty to see a body face down in the shadowed entryway…
World of Dungeons is the classic “1975 precursor” to today’s Dungeon World. It answers the question, “If Dungeon World was the latest version of a classic role-playing game, what would the original look like?”
The Final Harvest
The Final Girl
GM – Yoshi Creemlan
The town is buzzing with activity as everyone is preparing for the yearly harvest festival. Booths by local businesses and students are both being prepped. Guesses for the weight of the giant pumpkin are being collected in a historic wooden box. The festival director is frantic, there is so much to do, and she can’t find her assistant anywhere.
The Final Girl is a “GM-Full” game (where everyone and no one takes the role of the GM) that replicates and turns the slasher movie genre on its head. Together we will create a plethora of possible characters, with no character permanently assigned to a single player. Instead, we’ll take turns directing scenes and choosing characters to play – well, those that are still alive! This will continue until only one Final Girl (who may not actually be a female) remains.
